Role Description The Knitting Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Stearns, KY. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring knitting machinery to produce high-quality fabrics used in advanced camouflage systems. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and adjusting knitting equipment, performing routine inspections, identifying and correcting fabric or machine defects, and maintaining production records. The Knitting Technician will collaborate with production and quality teams to meet output targets, follow safety and cleanliness standards, and assist with basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting. This position may also support sample runs, process improvements, and implementation of new fabric specifications as needed. Qualifications Demonstrated experience operating textile or knitting machinery in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret production instructions, fabric specifications, and basic technical documentation. Strong attention to detail for inspecting fabrics, identifying defects, and maintaining consistent quality standards. Basic mechanical aptitude for performing machine setup, adjustments, and minor maintenance tasks. Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to PPE requirements, machine guarding, and safe material handling practices. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams. Reliable time management and organizational skills to meet production goals and maintain accurate records. High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in textiles, knitting, or industrial manufacturing is preferred.
